Triston Hansford
Triston joined the Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health at the University of Georgia as a student worker in 2020. After completing his degree, he moved into the role of Invasive Species and Ecology Specialist in 2021. Before working for Bugwood, Triston was a private wildlife educator utilizing permitted native education animals to impress on the general public the importance for wildlife conservation. Since then, he has helped Bugwood to acquire invasive species education animals such as a cane toad and black and white tegu to help stress the importance of invasive species management in Georgia, through the Georgia First Detector Program. He has a passion for native reptile and amphibian conservation, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration.
